Lombardi: Guard Our Schools With Armed Guards Defies Logic We Send Over $100 Billion To Ukraine In Arms But Can’t Have Armed Security
Manhattan, IL/March 27, 2023 – Illinois tech entrepreneur and former Republican Congressional candidate Jack Lombardi called for armed guards at all schools throughout the United States. He said armed guards on school premises can’t stop horrendous and tragic school shootings as we saw in
Nashville. It is inexcusable and criminal, he said that we can spend over $100 billion in arming Ukraine but can’t not provide adequate security for our own schools.
“As a father, my heart goes out to the families who lost loved ones in Nashville today,” said Jack Lombardi. “We must ensure that events such as this which have become far too common do not happen again.
“The way to do this is secure our schools with armed guards who can take preventive actions to stop tragedies like today from occurring,” continued Lombardi. “Federal and state buildings are fortified and get armed security, so why not our children?
“Rather than spend another $100 billion in arming Ukraine, why not fortify our schools and protect our children,” concluded Lombardi. “Protecting our children and preventing school shootings is a far greater national interest than the Ukrainian border.”
