Lombardi: Why Is Underwood Silent About Ukraine Under Biden And Underwood Americans Go Bankrupt and Our Enemies are Enriched
Manhattan, IL/February 22/2022… Today, Jack Lombardi, Republican Congressional candidate for Illinois’ 14th Congressional District asked why Democratic Congresswoman Lauren Underwood has been silent about the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The Biden and Underwood hypocritical energy policies that removed U.S. oil from the marketplace, robbed America of its energy independence, and ultimately enabled Russia to finance the invasion Lombardi said. Lombardi called under Underwood to denounce the Russian invasion and work for measures that will hurt Russia.
Lombardi further noted that the Biden and Underwood actions are penalizing American consumers with the worst inflation since the 1980s, logistical backlogs, and empty grocery store shelves. Will Underwood acknowledge that her and Joe Biden’s policies will drive up gas prices – a self-inflicted wound created by canceling the Keystone Pipeline and placing restrictions on American oil producers. He asked Lombardi has called for opening up American oil production to flood the world markets and bankrupt Russia.
“Lauren Underwood has been AWOL as Russia invades Ukraine,” said Jack Lombardi. Maybe she is silent because her energy policies and Joe Biden’s have enabled Russia to finance this invasion with oil revenue while the American consumer has gone bankrupt with soaring gas prices. I am the only candidate in this race calling for reopening the Keystone Pipeline and flooding the world markets with oil that will dry up the Russian economy.
“Lauren Underwood is silent on Ukraine,” concluded Lombardi. “Lauren Underwood is silent on rising gas prices and inflation. She stays silent because she is afraid of upsetting the radical left. The Fourteenth District needs a representative who will stand up for its citizens and not stay quiet like Lauren Underwood.”
