Lombardi Challenges Underwood to Debate Build Back Better
Better Name for It Is Bankrupt America Bill
Manhattan, IL/January 2022 – Today, Jack Lombardi, Republican Congressional candidate for Illinois’ Fourteenth Congressional District challenged Democrat Lauren Underwood to a debate in the 14th district over Joe Biden’s Build Back Better bill that she and other Democrats are advocating. Lombardi said a better name for the bill would be the Bankrupt America Bill. Lombardi challenged Underwood to a series of Lincoln/Douglas style debates in all the counties that encompass the 14th District. He said voters could listen to both him and Underwood debate the bill and make their own determination on the bill. Lombardi is confident that after the debates, voters will agree that Build Back Better is bad for the 14th District and bad for America.
“Illinois is known for giving us the famed Lincoln/Douglas debates, so in that vein, I challenged Lauren Underwood to a series of debates on Build Back Better or as I call it, Bankrupt America, in each county of the 14th District,” said Jack Lombardi. “Voters have a right to hear the two sides of this dangerous bill that if passed will change the very fabric of our nation.
“Voters should hear Representative Underwood make her case on the bill and I will make the case in opposition, and then they can make up their minds,” concluded Lombardi. “A clean debate on the issue is good government at its finest, and I am sure that she will agree unless she feels she cannot defend the bill to the voters.”
Lombardi Background
Lombardi’s story is that of an ordinary Chicagoan with exceptional zeal who broke the norm, building a better life with the resources he had at hand. Today, he is a successful businessman with vast experience in leading diverse teams to a common goal of success.
A natural entrepreneur, Lombardi earned his first money at age 8 selling soda on a neighborhood street corner. He started his first business, Lombardi Trucking, by age 22 and has never looked back. Currently, Lombardi owns Chicago’s premiere digital marketing company and runs multiple internet companies.
Born and bred on Chicago’s southwest side, Lombardi went to nearby St. Laurence High School and later attended Northwestern Business College. He is proud to be the husband of Sharon Lombardi and father of his son Jack III and daughter, Summer.
