Lombardi Statement On Murder Of Bradley Police Sgt. Marlene Rittmanic
Manhattan, IL/December 30, 2021 – Today, Jack Lombardi, Republican Congressional candidate for Illinois’ Fourteenth Congressional District issued that following statement regarding the murder of Bradley Police Sgt. Marlene Rittmanic the wounding of a fellow officer:
“My heart goes out to the family of Sgt. Marlene Rittmanic. She paid the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty to keep us safe. This is a tragic day for the community of Bradley and the Bradley Police Department. Sgt. Rittmanic is a true hero in the fullest meaning of the word. We all owe her a debt that can never be repaid for keeping us safe.
This is becoming a far too often occurrence in our society. The brave men and women in blue like Sgt. Marlene Rittmanic put on their uniform daily not knowing if they will return home safely at the end of their shift. They do it because they are brave guardians of communities who put their lives on the line to keep us safe.
The criminals who killed Sgt. Rittmanic need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. They must pay for what they have done. Anyone who makes war on our law enforcement makes war on all of us.
