Captain Hattabaugh Participated In Longest Single Air Combat In History During Gulf War

Manhattan, IL/June 15, 2021 –Today, Jack Lombardi, Republican Congressional candidate for Illinois’ 16th Congressional District announces that United States Air Force Captain Aaron Hattabuagh (retired) has endorsed his candidacy for Congress. Captain Hattabaugh participated in the single longest air combat mission in history during the Gulf War and is a highly decorated veteran. Captain Hattabaugh cited Lombardi’s conservative principles and his unwavering support for the military as key factors in his endorsement. He noted that Lombardi has been outspoken and steadfast in opposing ‘wokeness’ in the United States military, and calling out Congresswoman Ilhan Omar’s attacks on our military while Adam Kinzinger, a veteran has remained silent.

Captain Aaron Hattabaugh endorsement of Jack Lombardi for US Congress

“Jack Lombardi is who the Sixteenth District needs in Congress,” said United States Air Force Captain Aaron Hattabuagh (retired). “He is a steadfast conservative who won’t bend to the special interests in the swamp in Washington unlike the current Congressman. Jack will fight for the citizens of the Sixteenth District rather than the interests of CNN and MSNBC like Adam Kinzinger.

“More than that, he will support our military,” concluded Captain Hattabaugh. While Adam Kinzinger, a veteran has been missing from the fight, Jack is out front in opposing the progressives who want to impose wokeness on our military. He called out Ilhan Omar when she called our troops war criminals. We need Jack in Congress.”

“I am extremely honored to have Captain Hattabaugh’s endorsement,” said Jack Lombardi. “Captain Hattabaugh is a true American hero who believes in country first, as I do. In Congress, I will be guided by the principle of what is best for the United States not what is best for the special interests.

“I will always support our military and keep it from becoming a progressive social experiment,” concluded Lombardi. “I intend to call on Captain Hattabaugh on issues that deal with our military.

A 1987 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, Captain Hattabaugh is a retired 24-year combat veteran with 157 combat hours in the B-52 Stratofortress during the Gulf War. He has a Master Navigator rating and was certified in nuclear operations as a trainer and bomber wing executive manager under U.S. Strategic Command.

He is in his 18th year as a hospice volunteer with specialty training in the Iroquois Memorial Hospice “We Honor Veterans” program. He was named “Volunteer of the Year” at a major metropolitan hospice in Kansas City and was honored to be nominated for the statewide Missouri “Heart of Hospice” award with only 3 years of experience.

Captain Hattabugh currently lives in his hometown Milford where he does occasional voiceovers as a professional voice actor. His work can be heard on the podcast True Crime Takedown and frequently delivers Memorial Day and Veterans Day addresses as well as announces at parades and events.

He is a veteran of the then top-secret Gulf War B-52 mission Operation Senior Surprise which went into the record books as the longest single air combat mission in history. In the spirit of Air Force heritage and commemoration, he gives presentations of the mission as well as toasts annually with most of the 52 remaining airmen.
